ARE RUNNERS AND WALKERS TIMED?
Participants will wear a bib number with an electronically-readable chip affixed. As runners/walkers cross the Finish line they run over a mat with a sensor that recognizes and records each runner’s “chip time”. Bib numbers must be attached to the FRONT of your shirt and right side up to be read accurately. Please do not bend or fold your number.
There will be awards for first, second and third top overall female and male. In addition, there will be awards for first and second female and male of each age division. You must be present to receive your award.
WILL I RECEIVE A SHIRT?
The first 3,000 registrants will receive a tee shirt. While we will do our best, we cannot guarantee that you will receive the shirt size you requested when registering.
A team must have a designated captain who will be responsible for pickup and distribution of all team bibs and tee shirts. There must be a minimum of ten members on a team to be eligible for Team Packet Pickup. If you want to pick up your own packet, register as an individual not as a team member. Teams with ten or more members will receive a drawstring Step Up for Colleen bag, while supplies last.

Public parking lots are available at the corner of Park Street and Bartlett Street and on Main Street between Punchard Street and Chestnut Street. Street parking is also available.
WHEN DOES ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSE?
Online registration closes Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at noon.
HOW CAN I REGISTER AFTER ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES? You can register at pre-packet pickup and day of the race for $35, however we encourage you to register online due to expected volume. See below for dates and times.

WHAT TIME DOES DAY OF REGISTRATION OPEN?
Sunday, May 7th from 7-8:45 a.m. Due to expected volume, we encourage you to register prior to race day and pick up at pre-packet pickup. Day of registration is $35. Check or cash is preferred, although credit cards will be accepted, with checks made payable to ECCF/Step Up for Colleen.
WILL THERE BE PRE-PACKET PICKUP?
Yes, Friday, May 5th from 11:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 6th from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Both individual participants and team captains can pick up their packets.
WHERE WILL PRE-PACKET PICKUP BE LOCATED FOR INDIVIDUALS AND TEAMS?

CAN I PICK UP SOMEONE ELSE’S NUMBER?
Yes, we do allow you to pick up a friend or relatives number.
CAN I RUN/WALK WITH A BABY JOGGER?
Yes, this is a family event. We will ask that you are staged behind the racers for safety reasons and we will follow the pulse start model.
CAN I RUN/WALK WITH A DOG?
Yes, you can bring a dog. You will be staged behind the racers for safety reasons. We will also ask that you clean up after your dog, especially in the bird sanctuary on the grounds of Phillips Academy. They have granted us special permission to allow dogs into the bird sanctuary on race day as they are prohibited at all other times. There will be trash barrels at the water station in the sanctuary.
CAN I RUN/WALK WITH HEADPHONES OR EAR BUDS?
For safety reasons, we discourage the use of headphones on the course. This is a beautiful route. Why not take a day off from the buds and enjoy the sounds of spring and a “running conversation” with some new friends.
CAN I GET A REFUND IF I REGISTER BUT DON’T RUN?
No, registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
